(Organization-developer: “BioKhimPharm”, Raduzhny, Vladimir region).

International non-proprietary name: albendazole, ivermectin, sodium selenate, cobalt sulfate, zinc sulfate.

2. Dosage form: suspension for oral administration.
Albaver as an active ingredient in 1 ml contains 100 mg of albendazole, 4 mg of ivermectin, 1.08 mg of sodium selenate, 2.5 mg of cobalt sulfate, 1.2 mg of zinc sulfate, and auxiliaries.
The preparation is produced in packs of 100, 200, 500 ml in glass or polymer bottles, corked with rubber stoppers and rolled with aluminum caps, 1-20 l in cans of polymeric materials with screw caps, and in syringes with dispensers of 20-30 ml each. Other packing is allowed upon agreement in the established order.

3. The shelf life of the medicinal product under the storage conditions is 3 years from the date of manufacture.
It is prohibited to use the Alavera after the expiration date.

4. Store the preparation in the manufacturer’s closed packaging in a dry place protected from direct sunlight at a temperature of 5 ° C to 25 ° C.

5. Keep the albacore out of the reach of children.

6. An unused product with expired shelf life is disposed of in accordance with the law.

II. Pharmacological properties

7. Pharmacotherapeutic group of medicinal product: anthelmintic agent.
Albendazole, which is a part of the preparation, has a wide spectrum of anthelminthic activity, is active against imago and nematode larvae, trematodes, and also the imago cestoda. Possessing an ovocidal effect, it ensures a decrease in the contamination of pastures by helminth eggs.

The mechanism of action of albendazole is a violation of the processes of transport of glucose and microtubule function, a decrease in the activity of fumarate reductase in helminths, a violation of the permeability of cell membranes and muscle innervation, which causes paralysis and death of helminths.

With oral administration of the drug, albendazole is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and penetrates into the organs and tissues; the maximum concentration in the blood serum is observed after 12-25 h after application. Albendazole is excreted from the body mainly with urine and bile in unchanged form and in the form of metabolites.

The mechanism of action of ivermectins is based on the paralysis of the parasite musculature because of the increased isolation and binding of γ-aminobutyric acid involved in the transfer of impulses in the neuromuscular synapses, which leads to disruption of the sodium channels.
Ivermectin is a compound of a class of macrocyclic lactones, active against imaginal and larval phases of development of gastrointestinal tract and lung nematodes, sarcopthoid mites, insects and larvae of gadflies.

The main target of Ivermectin is glutamate sensitive chlorine channels, as well as gamma-aminobutyric acid receptors. Changing the current value of chlorine ions through the membranes of the nerve and muscle cells disrupts the impulses, which leads to paralysis and death of parasites.

Ivermectin is well absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, reaching the maximum concentrations in the blood plasma 4-6 hours after oral administration of the drug, the body undergoes biotransformation, is excreted mainly with urine, as well as with feces, in lactating animals – partly with milk.

Included in the composition trace elements, selenium, cobalt, zinc contributes to the treatment and prevention of diseases associated with their deficiency (due, among other things, to helminthiases). Selenium also reduces the toxic effect of the drug and the products of vital activity of helminths on the animal organism.

By the degree of exposure to the organism, Albaver refers to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76): LD50 when administered orally to white mice is about 3000 mg / kg; in recommended doses is well tolerated by animals, does not possess a hepatotoxic and sensitizing effect.

III. The order of application

8. Albaver is used for de-worming farm animals and poultry with a curative and prophylactic purpose for helminthiases caused by susceptible pathogens:
– cattle, camels with moniesiosis, pulmonary and gastrointestinal nematodes;
– horses for the treatment and prophylaxis of parascarriosis and strongylatoses, as well as for mixed parascaridose-strontyliasis invasion;
– sheep, goats with moniesiosis, pulmonary and gastrointestinal nematodes, chronic fascioliasis and chronic dicrocemia
– pigs with ascariasis and esophagastomosis;
– An agricultural bird with ascariasis and heterokeridosis.

It can also be used against puffers and scabies.

9. Albaver is contraindicated in animals during the breeding season. It is not allowed to use the preparation for laying hens, whose eggs are used for food purposes, to repair young stock of chickens less than 2 weeks prior to the beginning of oviposition, to milking and pregnant females, less than 28 days before the birth, due to the accumulation of the drug in eggs and the release of milk, as well as exhausted, sick infectious diseases and convalescent animals.

10. Before use, the medication in the vial should be shaken thoroughly.
The drug is administered singly by mouth in a dose of 1 ml per 20 kg of animal mass in a mixture with feed: cattle, horses, camels – individually, other types of animals (sheep, goats, pigs, poultry – individually or in a group mixed with concentrated food Individual preparation can be injected onto the root of the tongue into the oral cavity using a special syringe dispenser.

For the treatment of small cattle in a group method of administration, the dose of the drug, calculated for a group of not more than 100 animals, is mixed with concentrated food at the rate of 150-200 g of feed per animal. The resulting medicinal mixture is covered in feeders, providing animals with free access to them.

Treatment of animals against helminths is carried out before stalling and in spring before pasture on pasture; against vegetable invasions immediately after the end of the summer of gadlets – once.

For the treatment of pigs in a group way, the drug in a dose calculated for a group of not more than 50 animals is mixed with half of the feed norm and spread over the feeding troughs, giving animals easy access to them.

The poultry is used in a group way for two days in a row in the morning feeding mixed with mixed fodder.

A special diet and application of laxatives to animals before deworming is not required.

To distribute the preparation evenly, the suspension is shaken before use.

Deworming animals for therapeutic purposes is carried out according to indications, with preventive – in the spring before pasture on pasture and in autumn before staging.

Before mass treatments, each series of the drug is pre-tested on a small group of animals (10-15 heads), followed by observation for 3 days. In the absence of complications, the drug is used throughout the livestock.
