The complex of antibiotics (benzylpenicillin, neomycin, penicillin procaine, dihydrostreptomycin), included in the preparation, has a bactericidal effect against the most commonly isolated gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms in mastitis: Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Corynebacterium and Escherichia. Penicillins inhibit bacterial cell wall synthesis by inactivating the enzyme; neomycin sulfate inhibits protein synthesis at the level of the ribosomal subunit 30S, thus violating the integrity of the bacterial cell wall, thus exerting a bactericidal effect. Dihydrostreptomycin provides the effect of the drug on the E. coli, resistant to neomycin, and simultaneously potentiates the effect of penicillin on streptococcal microflora, and prednisolone, which is part of the drug, has a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect, reducing swelling and tissue soreness.
