After intramuscular injection of streptomycin, sulfate is rapidly absorbed into the blood, penetrates into the organs and tissues. The maximum concentration of the antibiotic in the blood is reached 30 minutes after the administration and is maintained at the therapeutic level for 10-12 hours. The antibiotic is excreted from the body mainly with urine.

Streptomycin sulfate for injection in terms of the degree of exposure to the body belongs to highly hazardous substances (hazard class 2 according to GOST 12.1.007), does not have a sensitizing effect in the recommended doses.

III. The order of application

8. Streptomycin sulfate for injection is used to treat leptospirosis, edematous disease, pigs erysipelas, campylobacteriosis and actinomycosis of cattle, bronchopneumonia, mastitis, endometritis, wound and postnatal sepsis and other diseases whose pathogens are susceptible to streptomycin.

9. Contraindication to the use of the drug is the increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the antibiotics of the aminoglycoside group.

10. Before use, the preparation in a vial is dissolved in 10 ml of water for injection or sterile isotonic sodium chloride solution.

13. Passes should be avoided with the introduction of a regular dose of the drug, as this may lead to a decrease in therapeutic effectiveness. If one dose is missed, you must enter it as soon as possible. Further, the interval until the next administration of the drug does not change.
