INSTRUCTION
use Ranosept to treat wounds, diseases of the skin and hooves
animals’

I. General information
1. Trade name of the medicinal product: Ranosept.
International nonproprietary name: chlortetracycline hydrochloride, gentian violet.
2. Dosage form: solution for external use in aerosol packaging.
Ranosept as active substances in 1 ml contains chlortetracycline hydrochloride-17 mg, genzianviolet-4 mg and excipients. In appearance, the drug is a solution of purple color.
3. The drug is produced packaged in 100 ml, 170 ml and 350 ml in aerosol cans with spray heads.
4. Store the drug in the closed packaging of the manufacturer in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight, away from heaters and sources of ignition, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 5°C to 25°C.
Shelf life of the drug under storage conditions – 2 years from the date of production. Do not use the drug after the expiration date.
5. Resept should be stored out of reach of children.
6. Unused medicinal product is disposed of in accordance with the requirements of the legislation.
II. Pharmacological properties
7. Ranosept belongs to a group of combined antibacterial drugs for external use. It has pronounced antibacterial properties. Included in its composition chlortetracycline
hydrochloride is active against many gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including Streptococcus spp., Haemophilus spp., Klebsiella spp., Clostridium spp. and rickettsias.
The mechanism of antibacterial action of chlortetradicline hydrochloride is based on the suppression of protein synthesis of microbial cells (blockade of ribosome function) and blockade of RNA synthesis.
Gentian violet is an antiseptic with weak antimicrobial and antifungal action, which is active against some gram-negative bacteria (Staphylococcus spp.), as well as pathogenic yeast (Candida spp.). Gentian violet acts antimicrobial and astringent. On tissues (wounds) long retains its activity, has a drying effect, accelerates the growth of granulation.
Ranosept on the degree of impact on the body refers to low-risk substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76).
III. The order of application
8. Ranosept is applied locally to all types of farm animals (cattle, camels, sheep, goats, pigs, horses and other ungulates, reindeer, rabbits, fur animals), dogs and cats for the treatment of wounds of surgical and traumatic origin, abrasions, scratches, skin lesions and hooves with necrobacteriosis.
9. Contraindications to the use Resepte is increased individual animal sensitivity to the preparation components.
10. Treatment of animals is carried out outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. In the treatment of lesions in the head should prevent the drug from entering the eyes.
Before using the drug, dirt, necrotic tissue, pus and wound exudate should be removed from the treated surface.
Before use, the drug should be shaken well, holding the cylinder in a vertical position with the spray head up and shaking sharply until the metal ball inside the cylinder is separated (a characteristic knock) and then for 5-10 seconds.
Resept spray for 1-2 seconds from a distance of 15-20 cm from the surface of the affected. Allow to soak for 5 minutes, not allowing the animal to lick the drug. Treatment is carried out one to three times a day. The duration of treatment depends on the severity and speed of healing, but should not exceed 10 days.
11. Symptoms of overdose in animals is not established.
12. Features of the drug at its first use and at its cancellation is not established.
13. In case of missing the next treatment treatment should be resumed as soon as possible according to the same scheme.
14. Side effects and complications in the use of Rensept in accordance with this instruction is not installed. With increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug and the appearance of allergic reactions, the use of the drug is discontinued and antihistamines and symptomatic therapy are prescribed.
15. Interaction with other medicinal products have not been identified.
16. Resept when used in accordance with this instruction does not accumulate in animal products. Slaughter of animals during the use of the drug is allowed to be carried out on a General basis. In the case of forced slaughter, the treated skin on the carcass should be removed and disposed of.
IV. Personal prevention measures
17. When working with the drug should comply with the General rules of personal hygiene and safety, provided for when working with medicines for veterinary use.
18. When working with the drug is forbidden to drink, smoke, eat. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water at the end of the work. People with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug should avoid direct contact with Ranosept.
19. In case of accidental contact of the drug with the skin or mucous membranes, they should be washed with plenty of water. In case of allergic reactions or accidental ingestion of the drug into the human body, you should immediately contact a medical institution (you should have the instructions for use of the drug or the label).
