INSTRUCTIONS
of using Vinilin (Shostakovskiy’s Balm) for the treatment of wounds of various origin, endometritis and mastitis in animals
(organization-developer: BioKhimPharm, Raduzhny).
I. General information
1. The name of the drug: Vinilin (Vinilin), Shostakovskiy’s Balm.
International non-proprietary name: polyvinyl-butyl ether.
2. Dosage form: topical solution.
Vinilin as an active ingredient contains polyvinox (polyvinylbutyl ether).
In appearance, the preparation is a thick, viscous liquid of light yellow color with a specific odor.
Vinilin is produced in 100 and 170 g aerosol cans with spray heads and protective caps, or packed in 100 ml, 1 l and 10 l in polymer containers of appropriate capacity, sealed with sealing caps with a lock to control the first opening.
3. Shelf life under storage conditions – 5 years from the date of manufacture.
Do not use Vinilin after the expiration date.
4. Store the drug in a sealed manufacturer’s packaging at a temperature of 5 ° C to 25 ° C.
5. Vinilin should be stored out of the reach of children.
6. Dispose of unused product with expired shelf life in accordance with legislation.
II. Pharmacological properties
7.Vinilin has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, anesthetic effect. Helps to cleanse wounds, tissue regeneration and epithelization.
The drug is harmless, does not have a toxic effect on the cells and tissues of the body. Its action is based on the ability to change the immunobiological properties of tissues, increasing their protective response.
The medicinal preparation according to the degree of influence on the organism belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 in accordance with GOST 12.1.007-76).
III. The order of application
8. Vinilin is applied externally for the treatment of wounds of various origins (including purulent), burns, frostbites, trophic ulcers, inflammatory skin diseases, dermatitis, mastitis.
9. Contraindication to use is the individual hypersensitivity of the animal to the drug.
10. The drug is used externally, intracisternal and intrauterine. Before use, preheat to 390C-400C and shake vigorously.
To treat wounds, boils, burns, complicated wound surfaces, the drug is sprayed from a distance of 20-25 cm for 3 seconds 1 time per day at intervals of 1-2 days until recovery.
For the treatment of endometritis, the drug is administered in the following doses:
-cows and mares – 50-55 grams, which is provided by spraying the drug from the balloon for 28-32 seconds;
– svinomatkam and ewes – for 25-30 grams, for which the drug is sprayed for 14-16 seconds.
Before intrauterine injection of Vinilin, the external genital organs and tail root are sanitized. If necessary, release the uterine cavity from inflammatory exudate.
To administer the preparation to the aerosol canister, a spray head with a catheter is placed on, the cervix is grasped by the hand inserted through the rectum, the catheter is carefully inserted through the cervix into the uterine cavity and, by keeping the aerosol container upright, the contents of the balloon are introduced.
The drug is administered at an interval of 48 hours 2-4 times, depending on the severity of the course of the disease.
To treat mastitis before applying Vinilin, the contents of the patient quarter of the udder are poured into a separate bowl, the nipple is disinfected with 70% alcohol.
To administer the drug, remove the cap from the valve device, put on the nozzle and inject it into the teat canal. A slight pressure on the valve device for 2-3 seconds ensures that a quarter of the udder has received the required dose of the drug.
Lactating cows with the clinical form of mastitis Vinilin is administered 2 times a day at intervals of 10-12 hours until recovery.
With subclinical mastitis Vinilin is applied once a day for 3 days.
Dry cows, sick mastitis, Vinilin is administered three times with an interval between administrations 3-4 days.
11. Symptoms of overdose when using the drug in accordance with this instruction is not established.
12. Features of the drug at the beginning of application or when it was abolished is not revealed.
13. Passage of the next dose of the drug (treatment) should be avoided, as this may lead to a decrease in therapeutic effectiveness. In the case of missing one or more doses, the drug is resumed as soon as possible in the same dosage and according to the same schedule.
14. Adverse events and complications in the use of Vinilin in accordance with this instruction is not established.
15. The use of Vinilin does not exclude the use of other drugs.
16. Milk for external and intrauterine use of the drug used in food without restrictions. In the treatment of mastitis, milk from healthy quarters of the udder is used for food without restrictions, and from patients – after the complete disappearance of the clinical signs of mastitis, confirmed by venerable tests.
Meat of slaughter animals using the drug is used without restrictions.
IV. Personal personal prevention measures
17. When working with Vinilin, you should observe the general rules of personal hygiene and safety, provided for when working with medicines.
18. Do not drink, smoke or eat while working with a medicine. After working with the drug, wash your hands with soap and water. It is forbidden to use empty containers for medicinal products for household purposes.
19. If Vinylin is on the skin, it should be wiped with a tissue moistened with vegetable oil or other non-toxic organic solvent and washed with soap and water. Mucous membranes when they get on the drug must be rinsed with a jet of clean water. If necessary, consult a doctor (carry a label or instructions for use).
