INSTRUCTIONS
of using Ikhglyukovit for the prevention and treatment of endometritis and subinvolution of the uterus of cows
(Organization-developer: “BioKhimPharm”, Raduzhny, Vladimir region).
I. General information
1. Trade name of the medicinal product: Ichglucovitum.
International non-proprietary name: ichthyol, glucose, ascorbic acid, ethyl alcohol.
2. Dosage form: solution for injection.
Ihglyukovit is a complex preparation containing active ingredients in 100 ml: ichthyol-3.5 g, glucose-20.0 g, ascorbic acid-2.0 g, ethyl alcohol-2.0 g, distilled water-up to 100 ml.
Ikhglyukovit is put up in sterile glass bottles, sealed with rubber stoppers, reinforced with aluminum caps.
3. The shelf life of the medicinal product under the conditions of storage is 1 year from the date of manufacture.
It is forbidden to use igljukovit after the expiry date.
4. The drug is stored in the manufacturer’s closed container in a dry, dark place at a temperature of 50C to 150C.
5. Ihglyukovit should be stored in places inaccessible to children.
6. Dispose of unused product with expired shelf life in accordance with legal requirements.
II. Pharmacological properties
7. Ihglyukovit has an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory effect, improves metabolism, reduces soreness and accelerates the regeneration of tissues in the affected organ, stimulates the reverse development of the uterus after childbirth.
Ichthyol in the preparation has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, to an insignificant degree anesthetic and antiparasitic action. When applied to the skin surface, it narrows the peripheral blood vessels, reduces secretion, exudates and speeds up the regenerative processes.
Glucose in the composition of the drug is a source of easily assimilated carbohydrates and enhances oxidation-reduction processes in tissues.
Ascorbic acid has a metabolic effect. Participates in the regulation of oxidation-reduction processes, carbohydrate metabolism, blood coagulability, tissue regeneration; increases the body’s resistance to infections, reduces vascular permeability.
Ethyl alcohol has a bactericidal action, it is a source of energy for tissues.
By the degree of impact on the body, Ikhglyukovit belongs to low-hazard substances (Class IV hazard according to GOST 12.1.007-76).
III. The order of application
8. Ihglyukovit is used for the prevention and treatment of endometritis and subinvolution of the uterus of cows.
9. Contraindication to the use of the drug is the individual intolerance of its components.
10. For prophylactic purposes, Ichglucovit is administered to novice cows twice: on the day of calving (or no later than the second day after calving) and 48 hours after the first injection.
With a therapeutic purpose the drug is used every 48 hours until complete recovery in a dose of 10.0 cm3 per 100 kg of body weight. The drug is injected into the paravaginal fiber of the pelvic cavity.
Ihglyukovit is injected with a Janet syringe connected by a rubber tube (70-100 cm long) with Bobrov’s needle to the anterolateral angle of the rectum fossa to the right or left of the anus, after having treated the needle entry site with an antiseptic. With a single-step push of the hand, the needle is injected into the paravaginal fiber of the pelvic cavity at an angle of 300 to 450 to the surface of the pit to a depth of 3-5 cm in the direction of the xiphoid process of the sternum.
11. Symptoms of overdose when using the drug in accordance with this instruction is not established.
12. Features of the drug at the beginning of the use of Ihgljukovit or when it was abolished is not revealed.
13. Passage of the next dose of the drug should be avoided, as this may lead to a decrease in therapeutic effectiveness. In the case of missing one or more doses, the drug is resumed as soon as possible in the same dosage and according to the same schedule.
14. Adverse events and complications when using Ihgljukovit cream in accordance with this instruction is not established.
15. The use of Iglukovit does not exclude the use of other drugs.
16. Livestock products during and after application of Iglukovite are used without restrictions.
IV. Personal prevention measures
17. When working with ichgljukovit it is necessary to observe the general rules of personal hygiene and the safety precautions, provided at work with medical products. At the end of work, hands should be washed with warm water and soap.
18. When working with the drug, it is forbidden to drink, smoke and eat. After working with the drug, wash your hands with soap and water.
19. If the product gets on the skin and / or mucous membranes, they should be rinsed with plenty of running water. If accidentally swallowed, give a large amount of water to drink (4-5 glasses) and induce vomiting. In case of allergic reactions, you should immediately contact a medical institution (with instructions for the use of the drug and a label).
