INSTRUCTION
use Neomast-Forte for the treatment of mastitis in cows

I. General information
1. Trade name: Neomast-Forte (Neomast-forte).
International nonproprietary name: sulfadimidine, erythromycin, chinosol, prednisolone, trimekain.
2. Dosage form: emulsion for topical use.
The drug as active substances in 1 g contains 50 mg sulfadimezina, 5.6 mg erythromycin,
2.5 mg chinosol, 1 mg prednisolone, 8 mg of trimecaine and filler.
Neomast-Forte is pre-Packed in plastic syringes, tubes or glass vials, sealed with rubber stoppers and rolled aluminum caps. Other packing providing safety and quality of the preparation and coordinated in accordance with the established procedure is allowed.
3. Shelf life of the drug under storage conditions-1 year from the date of manufacture. Do not use Namaste-Forte after the expiry date.
4. Store the drug in a closed package of the manufacturer, in a dry, dark place at a temperature of 5°C to 20°C.
5. Neomast-Forte should be stored out of the reach of children.
6. Unused product with expired shelf life is disposed of in accordance with the requirements of the legislation.
II. Pharmacological properties
7. Pharmacotherapeutic group of the drug: antimicrobial agents in combinations.
The drug has a bactericidal and bacteriostatic effect against staphylococci, streptococci and others, including penicillin-resistant pathogens mastitis. It has a local anti-inflammatory, analgesic effect.
Sulfadimesine is effective against antibiotic-resistant microorganisms.
Erythromycin is an antibiotic from the macrolide group. In therapeutic doses has bacteriostatic effect. Erythromycin reversibly binds to the ribosomes of bacteria, thereby inhibiting protein synthesis. The spectrum of action includes gram-positive (Staphylococcus spp., producing and non-producing penicillinase; Streptococcus spp., including S. pneumoniae, Clostridium spp., Bacillus anthracis, Corynebacterium diphtheriae) and some gram-negative bacteria (Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Haemophillus influenzae, Bordetella pertussis, Brucella spp., Legionella spp.), Mycoplasma spp., Chlamydia spp., Spirochaetaceae, Rickettsia spp.
Chinosol has a pronounced antimicrobial activity against most vegetative forms of microorganisms.
Prednisolone has anti-inflammatory and mild analgesic effect.
Trimekain relieves severe irritation in the pathological focus, turns off peripheral innervation, resulting in pain.
In the mammary gland of lactating cows the drug is in therapeutic concentration for 24 hours.
The drug in the degree of impact on the body refers to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76).
III. The order of application

9. Contraindications to the use of an individual hypersensitivity of animal to components of the preparation.
10. Before using the drug, the contents of the patient quarter of the udder are milked in a separate bowl, the nipple is disinfected, the drug is heated to 37 ° C-40 ° C and carefully shaken. Recruited from the bottle with a sterile syringe and using a catheter is introduced into the nipple of the affected quarter of the udder. Lactating cows drug is administered to the sick quarter of the udder until recovery 1 time a day at intervals of 24 hours.

IV. Personal prevention measures

18. When working with the drug is forbidden to drink, smoke and eat. After working with the drug should wash your hands with soap.
19. If the drug gets on the skin and/or mucous membranes, it is recommended to wash them with plenty of running water. In case of accidental swallowing – give the victim a large amount of water to drink (4-5 glasses) and cause vomiting. In case of allergic reactions, you should immediately contact a medical institution (you should have the instructions for use of the drug and the label).
