INSTRUCTIONS
of using Ringer-Locke solution
during dehydration and intoxication of the animal body
(Organization-developer: “BioKhimPharm”, Raduzhny, Vladimir region).
I. General information
1. Ringer-Locke solution (Solutio Ringer-Locke).
2. Ringer-Locke solution – a drug in the form of a solution for injection, containing in 100 cm³ as active substances 0.8 g of sodium chloride, 0.02 g of potassium chloride, 0.02 g of calcium chloride, 0.02 g of sodium bicarbonate , 0.1 g of glucose and as a solvent water for injection.
3. The drug is a colorless transparent liquid.
4. The Ringer-Locke solution is packaged in 100 and 200 cm3 in sterile glass bottles of the appropriate capacity, sealed with rubber stoppers and reinforced aluminum caps.
Each bottle is labeled with the manufacturer’s organization, its address and trademark, the purpose of the medicinal product, the name and content of the active substances, the method of use, the serial number, the date of manufacture, the expiration date, the volume in the vial, storage conditions, the inscriptions “Sterile”, ” For animals “, the state registration number, information on the confirmation of compliance, the designation of the technical specification and provide instructions for use.
The medicinal product is stored in the manufacturer’s closed packaging in a dry, protected from light place, at a temperature from 00С to 25 0С.
The shelf life of the Ringer-Locke solution under the storage conditions is 2 years from the date of manufacture. Do not use the medication after the expiration date.
II. Pharmacological properties
5. Ringer-Locke solution is isotonic with the blood plasma of animals, regulates water-salt and acid-base balance in the animals.
6. After administration, the drug is rapidly absorbed from the injection site and distributed to the organs and tissues of the animal.
According to the degree of exposure to the body, Ringer-Locke solution according to GOST 12.1.007 refers to substances of low danger (class 4 hazard), it does not irritate the tissues.
III. APPLICATION PROCEDURE
7. Ringer-Locke solution is used in animals with dyspepsia and other diseases, accompanied by dehydration and intoxication of the body, blood loss, washing of wounds and eyes.
8. Ringer-Locke solution is applied subcutaneously or intravenously in the following doses (in ml per animal):

Doses and timing of application depend on the weight of the animal and the course of the disease.
When administered subcutaneously, the dose of the drug is administered fractionally in different places.
9. In recommended doses Ringer-Locke solution does not cause side effects and complications in animals.
10. The use of Ringer-Locke solution does not exclude the use of other drugs.
11. Contraindications to the use of Ringer-Locke solution not established.
12. Livestock products during and after application of the Ringer-Locke solution are used without restrictions.
IV. MEASURES OF PERSONAL PROPHYLAXIS
13. When working with Ringer-Locke solution, you should observe the general rules of personal hygiene and safety, provided for when working with medicines.
14. Ringer-Locke can not be used for household purposes.
15. Ringer-Locke solution should be stored in places inaccessible to children.
