on the use of Cefamast as an antibacterial drug for the treatment of mastitis in cows, mares, camels, sheep and goats

I. General information
1. Trade name of the medicinal product: Ceramist (Cefamaste).
International nonproprietary name: Cefotaxime sodium, prednisolone.
2. Dosage form: suspension for intracisternal application.
In appearance, Cefamast is a thick viscous suspension from white to light yellow in different shades, at 35 ° C-40 ° C it acquires fluidity and transparency. The drug as active ingredients in 1 ml contains Cefotaxime sodium-50 mg, prednisolone-1 mg and excipients: stearic acid, aluminum stearate and vaseline oil to 1 ml.
3. Cefamast is produced packaged in hermetically sealed plastic syringes-tubes for intracysternal administration with a capacity of 10 ml.
Do not use Cefamast after the expiration date.
4. Store the drug in the closed packaging of the manufacturer, in a dry, protected from light place, at a temperature of minus 25 ° C to 25 ° C.

Antibiotic resistant indole-positive strains of Proteus (P morgani. P. vulgaris, P. rettgeri), does not act on Rickettsia, viruses, fungi, protozoa. Like penicillins, inhibits the synthesis of the cell wall of bacteria.
Prednisolone has anti-inflammatory and mild analgesic effect.

III. The order of application
8. Cefamast is prescribed intracysternally in the treatment of cows, mares, camels, sheep and goats, patients with subclinical and clinical forms of mastitis, both in lactation and in dry periods.

The use of milk for food purposes is allowed no earlier than 3 days after the last administration of Cefamast.
